Nameservers, DNS records and the difference

Domains 25/10/2026

Nameservers say WHO answers questions about your domain. DNS records are the answers themselves - where the website is, where the email goes.

Our nameservers are:

  • ns1.boost.pl
  • ns2.boost.pl

Where to edit records:

  • You have hosting with us - in DirectAdmin: Account Manager → DNS Management. That is the zone the server uses.
  • You have only the domain - on the domain's page: Manage DNS Records.
  • The domain points at another company's nameservers (e.g. Cloudflare) - edit records there. Changes here then have no effect. That is the most common reason a record "does not work".

Record changes usually take effect within minutes. Changing a domain's nameservers can take up to 24 hours before every internet provider notices.

Change the nameservers on the domain's page under Nameservers.
