Starting, restarting and stopping the server

The power buttons are at the top of the server panel:

• Start - turns a stopped server on.
• Reboot - asks the system to restart, like the reboot command. Safe for your data.
• Shut down - asks the system to power off cleanly, like the shutdown command.
• Force off - cuts the power at once, like pulling the plug. Unsaved data may be lost.
• Reset - an instant restart, like a computer's reset button.

Always start with Reboot or Shut down. Force off and Reset are for when the system does not respond - it has frozen or ignores a reboot for several minutes.

A stopped server is still billed - it keeps its reserved resources and IP address. If you no longer need it, request cancellation of the service.
