Setting up email in a mail program or on a phone

DirectAdmin hosting 25/10/2026

Add your mailbox to Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Gmail on your phone or any other program. Choose manual setup and enter:

Incoming mail

  • Type: IMAP (recommended - your mail looks the same on every device) or POP3.
  • Server: zeus.boost.pl (the server address from the service page).
  • Port: 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3, encryption SSL/TLS.

Outgoing mail (SMTP)

  • Server: zeus.boost.pl.
  • Port: 465 with SSL/TLS or 587 with STARTTLS.
  • Authentication: on, with the same details as incoming mail.

Username and password

  • Username: the full email address, e.g. office@yourdomain.com.
  • Password: the mailbox password set in DirectAdmin.

Use the server name (e.g. zeus.boost.pl) rather than mail.yourdomain.com - the certificate then always matches and the program shows no security warnings.

Common problems

  • The password is rejected - check that the username is the full email address. You can set a new password in DirectAdmin (E-mail Accounts → the menu next to the mailbox).
  • Receiving works, sending does not - turn on authentication for the outgoing server and check port 465 or 587.
  • Mail from outside never arrives - the domain must use our nameservers or have an MX record pointing to our server.
